California’s median home price for November 2012 is $349,300.

California’s housing affordability index for the third quarter 2012 is 49%. 

Mortgage rates for the week ending 1/3/2013 are as follows:

  • 30 year fixed is 3.34% with 0.7% fees/points
  • 15 year fixed is 2.64% with 0.6% fees/points
  • 1 year adjustable is 2.57% with 0.4% Fees/points.

What subprime crisis?  Affordable houses are everywhere.
